These sad & bedraggled little orphans arrived from Chania pet rescue yesterday for bottle feeding their mother & one sibling had died.
The remaining 4 (2 girls & 2 boys we think!) after 3 hourly feeds all night are still alive & kicking, we are hopeful they will now make it.
They will be vaccinated, healthy & socialised by the time they are ready to leave us at 8 weeks, we will assist in neutering.

Update: Vincent has now been released back to the wild and seemed more than happy running down the path he knows well & straight into the olive grove back to his mates!.

Continue reading “Vincent from Vamos”Happened between 4pm Saturday afternoon, when I left the house and 6.30pm when my daughter got in. One was in the last throws when she arrived. Think the poison was thrown in the garden as two cats got it too and they were all within a few yards of the front door. Small friendly dogs. Foaming at mouth (and other end) 3 puppies now without a mother. Police came up and we made an official report.
Our Greek Vets, Arche Noah & all our volunteers and donators who have assisted in helping the above animals are and will be appalled at such brutal & callous behaviour.
Vet Pool has published its annual report (in german only) which includes news of seeking to employ more vets & a redesign of the web site in the spring of 2013. We wish to thank them congratulate them on all their hard work.
Lucy remains here with us; we paid for her dental surgery this week as after having her eye removed she was still in severe pain with lots of difficulty eating. On veterinary examination she had broken infected teeth caused by being kicked or struck with a heavy object left side of her face, poor brave girl. Lucy is now lying by the fire & recovering well.
Does anyone recognize Lucy? she has a very distinctive tash & beard, we think she may have strayed and would love to identify her true owners.
Update 28/10/12: Blue boy has found loving adoptive parents, sadly there are no clones available at present!
Gorgeous boy approximately 12-14 weeks abandoned by bins this stunning kitten is a Russian blue type.
Perfect coat colors & features, affectionate, litter trained, sociable but still a little bewildered by it all he needs gentle handling but is very intelligent & wants to explore.
