Fantastic surprise and it went to desperately hungry strays in Neo Chorio and Xirosterni.
We’re hoping to raise enough for cat food during the cold months for volunteers but we have to pay for Vlads operation first!
Vlad needed a second operation but all is going well, they have him till 15th December to ensure all is good then Sonya will collect him!
The New Year has kicked off on a high note! We’ve managed to purchase and distribute to our dedicated volunteers 22 20kg bags of dry food for our stray animals. We have so many people to thank for their generosity, even in the face of their own hardships.
Many thanks to the Joint Animal Welfare Society – JAWS for PAWS who made it an afternoon to remember for those who supported our cats & attended the Douliana benefit at Taverna Ntouliana on Friday. An amazing €1075 was raised and everyone has commented how lovely the venue was so thanks also to the restaurant staff who worked so hard.
The Apokoronas cats send big purrsss & many thanks to our Chania colleagues in particular Elizabeth of the The Souda Shelter Project for the unexpected & fantastic 120 kg of donated cat food! We mix the Dreamies with the food given out also using as treats for the sick ones.
Arche Noah Kreta continues to provide much needed food for the stray cats & dogs on Crete as well as the medical care of thousands of stray animals.
It is colder and wetter than the last few years so we are sure this will be very welcome with all the stray animals on Crete.
