Appeal for Fineas

21st November 2014

Here is Fineas (right) reclining with his new feline grandma! Our lucky boy from such an awful beginning is now safe and loved in his new home in England. Thanks to everyone involved from the Greek couple that picked him up off the roadside, Eleni who operated on him, everyone involved in his care and most of all Janna & partner for adopting him

Some post op pictures

Here is our little chap he is recovering really well, still spatially challenged he is bumping into things! Next week he will have his sutures out & start his vaccinations for his passport.

We desperately need a secure home for him indoors with only one or two other cats as he gets easily scared with noise & other cats.

This is an appeal with disturbing images please do not look at the photos if it will cause distress.

This little kitten found staggering along the road in Kalyves has been blinded in both eyes destroyed by what we think is chlamydia infection.

A kind & caring Greek family took him to the vet we were full so they have been caring for him while he is waiting for surgery to remove both eyes & treat infections.

Too small & weak for the anaesthetic any infections needed treating first, we are taking him this week prior to surgery next week.

Fineas cannot ever be released we are searching for adopters who can provide a safe secure home living as an indoor cat.

He mixes well with other cats but does not like to be surrounded by too many he would be fine on his own or with a few playmates.

Fineas is affectionate likes human company he would also thrive on his own, the Greek family would love to keep him but they have too many cats both indoor & outdoor for his safety.

He has been tested for FIV/FeLV thankfully he is negative, treatment & vaccinations will abate his cat flu he may still carry it which is common in the feline population & rescue cats.

We are appealing for an adopter & donations for his surgery & travel costs.
