The annual transportation costs are composed as follows:
Warehouses for rent (including personnel for loading, machinery …) € 3000
Gathering of the food (donated exclusively) from anywhere in Germany to Hamburg @ € 2000
Container to Heraklion (by boat) @ € 2000
Unloading & Transport to the warehouse (Heraklion) € 1200
1 kilo of good quality food in Crete costs approx €1.
