Rescue Cats to UK, please adopt a Greek Feline

Monday 1am, Pippen followed Pippa

Update 30/08/13

We have very sad news about Pippa, despite antibiotics, sub cutaneous saline, and any & every intervention we could think of that might help, she was unable to eat or keep fluids down & left us at dawn.
A salutary lesson for everybody to learn… do not ever give cow’s milk or condensed milk to newborn kittens.
Her brother Pippen is still with us although very frail, his future is uncertain. We are doing everything we can for him.

Oscar Fox Stowaway

12/08/13 Update:

The Pfötli (‘little feet’) Animal Rescue Service in Winkel, Zurich said it had taken charge of the cat, reckoned to be between two and three months old, on Monday.

Until now the male kitten had been cared for by a vet.

“He is a fighter and has got over his fever,” the shelter said on its website.

“He is a little shy at the moment, just sitting in his box, but he miaows when we speak to him.”

The shelter said a lot of people had expressed an interest in adopting the kitten but it would be several weeks before he could be released.

It said anyone interested in taking Oscar Fox should enquire in four weeks’ time.

Update re Appeal for Flight Fees Rescue Cats to UK

We have raised Bumble’s ticket thank you to all that have helped

Instead of Bella we are sending Huggy who has an anxious adopter waiting for him in the UK who cannot afford the flight cost. He & his siblings came to us at 7 days of age from the Chania team after his mother was run over.
Covered in parasites & starving they had to be bottle fed for three weeks by us & a team of volunteers. We lost one little one but Huggy & the others are now thriving. Please help give him a new start. We are appealing for donations to reach the £285 per cat fee to fill this flight. We have donors that have genourously helpled already, any sum you can afford however small is appreciated.

Kitten in need

It was all happening at Woodland Nook this morning. The Greek girls were enjoying the Indian summer and in a VERY feisty mood. Twinks and Pasca were scuffling on the porch roof, when Twinks decided to reach for the sky. The descent was a little more precarious…

Twinks decided to reach for the sky

Twinks needs a home, so if you want some kitty excitement in your life, just get in touch!

Here is Twinky (formally Jackie). Her mother died in labour & was found dead in a field by the owners of the land. The kittens that did survive were left to fend for themselves & starve. They cried all night & day and the villa residents heard but could not reach them. A gallant tourist caught this little one through the fence but her sibling, despite traps could not be reached. We presume he/she is now dead. It will be at least a month before Twinky is stable, we think she is 5 weeks old maybe six  but is skin & bones. She has an adorable nature, purring when picked & up she loves humans & cries for cuddles. Her eyes are clearing from the cat flu & thankfully she seems well otherwise. Twinky will be treated for all infections, vaccinated & we can assist with neutering. Please contact us if you can help her.
